GreenTag is one of the world’s most robust, trusted, and widely recognized independent ecolabels. By investing in Green Tag certifications, we’re making it simple for our end users to choose better, and trust in the validity of our sustainability efforts.
What does it mean for a product to be GreenTag certified?
GreenTag assesses products across their whole-of-life (WOL) cycle through a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) based methodology. In order to provide a GreenRate Certification GreenTag conducted a thorough review of our products: assessing the raw materials used, product recipes, and reviewing our EPDs, VOC, SABS and ISO-certifications.
Aligned with our mission to be better for people and better for the planet: The certification process includes full and transparent reporting of the product’s environmental and human health impacts. At a minimum, assessments cover impacts on and/or benefits to human health, environmental quality, and resource depletion.
Additionally, ethical supply chain transparency is a critical component of the process, reporting on practices related to modern slavery and other social responsibility metrics.
GreenTag evaluates the integrated design benefits of a product, which can result in environmental offsets or better health and well-being indoors. For example, GreenTag highlights 3 key benefits of our Gyproc Rhinoboard:
1. Certified Environmental Management System
2. No toxicity or Issue of Concern
3. Fit for purpose certified.

Health & Ecotoxicity: Materials used are safe for humans and the environment
Certified Environmental Management Systems: Our products have obtained third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations EPDs which contain Life Cycle Assessments independent of GreenTag, evaluating the environmental impact of the product throughout its life cycle. GreenTag has verified that all marketing and environmental claims are accurate and supported by our LCA data.
Locally Manufactured: Our products are locally manufactured, empowering our communities whilst reducing our environmental impact.
