Gyproc introduce templates for Autodesk® Revit® software
Saint-Gobain Gyproc has recently introduced Revit® templates, which will assist architects in specifying Gyproc Drywall systems, when using the comprehensive software solution that helps professionals design, simulate, visualize, document and improve control during the building lifecycle.
Used by the majority of Architectural firms, Autodesk® Revit® software was designed for Building Information Modeling, assisting professionals to manage building information more accurately, through the creation of schedules, materials lists, bill of quantities and creates fully coordinated drawing sheets. In addition, it allows users to make use of Structural tools and components all in one interface.
The Saint-Gobain Gyproc templates developed for Revit® software is a library file of 24 standard Drywall systems that specifiers can access at any time. The templates offer information that will increase the specifier's knowledge of the Gyproc systems and components, including details on their fire and acoustic performance ratings and associated colour coding of all systems. Included in the templates are 2D drawings of the drywall floor plan, typical base details and typical head details. The details can be presented in a pre-loaded drawing sheet with adaptive performance criteria and drawing number.
The templates have tags (short descriptions) for use in annotation of drawings, while more readily allowing the integration of the systems into the specifiers drawings. In addition, the introduction of the templates will minimize paper usage, which is in line with the company's focus on environmental sustainability.
The Saint-Gobain Gyproc Drywall Revit® templates are available on CD or alternatively may be downloaded from the website.
